THE ARTS SOCIETY NORTH EAST AREA covers Yorkshire, County Durham, Derbyshire, Tyne and Wear and Northumberland. There are twenty-two societies in this Area, further details of which can be found on the Societies page.

Our Societies bring together groups of like minded individuals through regular meetings, lectures by top experts. study days, visits, tours and a number of volunteering activities including Church Recording, Trails of Discovery, Heritage Volunteering and our Arts Volunteering programmes.

The Arts Society also supports the decorative and fine arts through our grant giving programme.
